Teaching Tuesday~Egyptian Influence

Interior Design is like any other form of art, there are different kinds of mediums and styles you can use to achieve your masterpiece.  An appreciation and application of good design requires knowledge of the past.  This week I want to focus on ancient Egyptian design.  The beginning of history we are able to see a strong and mature civilization who's work was so grand that we are still able to see the influences in current architecture, design and furniture.

The Pyramids of Gizeh.  They were built about 3700 B.C.  They were the tombs of the kings of the early dynasties.

The Louve Pyramid was completed in 1989 and designed by I. M. Pei
