Shaken...not stirred.

I love mixed drinks!  I love making them, trying new ones, taking mixology classes and making drinks for friends.  There really is an art to a good mixed drink.  I remember when we bought our first flat screen television and no longer needed the large armoire.  The first thing I thought of was making that armoire into a wet bar.  I lined the back with a animal print fabric, placed a lamp and gold tray in there with all my bottles and glasses.  I loved it!  The neighbors would come right over on Friday evenings.  We would make a drink and then go outside and talk as the kids played and the sun went down.  Enjoy these great wet bars for some inspiration.

A Splash of Pink!

It's been awhile since I have written and a lot has happened, but that's normal in this family! I am back in Texas and working full time.  I do love getting to know so many clients and working on so many fun projects!  But enough of that!

It's summer and I am loving the weather and having my kids home.  Colors are abundant and clients are more adventurous.  I have always loved doing the unexpected in design and throwing in a little extra something.  This last year I have used navy blue, white and hot pink in my own living room.  It's fun and happy, and everyone needs happy these days!  Don't be afraid to use color.  Look at how a splash of pink brought life to these rooms.

Space Bound

Last Week I wrote about celestial sighting in fashion, and how I was excited for it to move into interiors.  Then last night as I was going through my emails I came across my daily update from Joss and Main, and guess what was featured....Celestial Inspired Style!  And just as I thought, you can mix a little here and there in your room for a nice update.  Check out the sale while it's available!

Ducks vs. Bucs

If you tallied the regions where I lived, the south is where I lived the most.  One of the most important things you should understand about Southerners is football is their life, even to the girls.  Some girls may not be as actively involved as others, but no southern girl would ever plan a party,  barbecue, or wedding during football season, on a Saturday afternoon unless she has planed on providing televisions and beer too.  So you can imagine my excitement for the college national championship game tonight!  I thought of how different the interiors and homes in Oregon and Ohio are.  Oregonians really appreciate mid century modern and Bauhaus design furniture mixed with nature.  And don't think Ohio is just farmhouses and quilts!  They are really modernizing out there too.  Here are some interiors from both states.

I do have a favorite in tonight's game, but wish both teams the best of luck.
